Pershore Paddleboarding Club

So what's next for your paddling?

It all starts with a Starter Lesson - Book that first to start your paddleboard journey

After your starter lesson, you can book session 2, or come back and hire, and you can also access the amazing Paddleboard CLUB :

Pershore Paddleboarding Club
(Social Paddles)

Wednesday evenings, Bonkers HQ Pershore. April - September.

Arrival from 6pm (the centre might not be open before then so don't come too early)

set up and pump up

on water for 6.30 prompt

Wednesday eve paddleboard club is back !!!

Before Covid (quite a while ago now it seams !!) from 2017, we all used to get together weekly for a club style session. (check out some of the old photo's below - fashion has moved on ;0)

Great news is that for 2022 ITS BACK (and booking up fast ;0)

These are organised sessions, overseen by our qualified instructors, structured and set up to help and support paddlers - a genuine paddling community, but designed to be very informal and fun. There will be some tuition (very informal) and some fun activities to join in on, that will vary from week to week.

You get access to our pontoon for launching, changing rooms, showers and toilets, a chance to try our gear, and of course, the best possible group of people ;0)  We talk equipment, try new stuff, swap techniques and generally have a laugh !!

Price (inc riverside parking and of course a cup of tea ;0)

£5 if own board

using own board / self launch JUST £5 (for own board, must have river licence and insurance - British Canoe membership covers this)

£15 hire board

If you don't have a board (or cant be arsed to pump yours up, or want to try a different board) then you can hire for the whole session for just £15.

As the tuition on these sessions is very informal, it is vital that everyone attending can stand up and paddle independently and comfortably on their own. If you are not sure, or want to build some confidence with proper focussed tuition, then please book a starter session, or private tuition first, and then access club.

like all our sessions this MUST BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE - NUMBERS ARE LIMITED -

Start 6.30pm (arrivals from 6pm for pumping boards and getting ready)

Finish 8pm - 8.30pm ish

2022   1st session  Wednesday  April 13th

            Then EVERY WEDNESDAY EVENING

            last session Wednesday 28th September

There is no joining fee. But you cant just turn up. You have to communicate via email with us first, and BOOK IN.

Please don't book anyone else, or think you are helping by 'bringing a friend', get them to contact us direct. We need to email with everyone first, to check their ability, and make sure this is the right and appropriate session for you and for all participants. By doing this we can build a positive social gathering that is fun and all participants feel safe and comfortable.

This is designed for adults. However, if accompanied by an adult at all times, and they are happy to join in with grown ups, and we have taught them previously, then we can potentially open it up to 15yrs+... please check with us first.

Bonkers River Trips

Bonkers is based on the River Avon

there are actually 7 River Avons in the UK !

Our River Avon is the one that you see next to Warwick Castle, that flows through Stratford upon Avon in Warwickshire, where it becomes navigable, and onto Evesham and Pershore in Worcestershire and joins the river Severn at Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire. (so its not the one near Bristol)

Our River Avon is perfect for paddleboarding. It is also the perfect river for paddleboard trips. Some of the lock portages are difficult for kayaks, but much easier for paddleboards.

The best place to start or end a river trip is bonkers HQ. With our private car park, perfect pontoon, toilets and full facilities.

In the summer, the flow is so slow as to be un-noticeable, so we do trips from our centre and returning to our centre, either up stream or down stream. These are by far the best as they are so easy safe and fun. Just talk to us and book a hire, to go and explore.

In the winter, when we have more time and the flow is generally a bit more, we do one way river trips. We can drop people up stream so you can paddle down to the centre, or pick people up from down stream and ferry you back to our facilities in Pershore.

We run trips for people that we know, from our centre in Evesham to our HQ in Pershore (10 miles, all day trip), and shorter options available too
