River Avon Trips - Paddleboarding
Bonkers River Trips
Bonkers is based on the River Avon
there are actually 7 River Avons in the UK !
Our River Avon is the one that you see next to Warwick Castle, that flows through Stratford upon Avon in Warwickshire, Evesham and Pershore in Worcestershire and joins the river Severn at Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire. (so its not the one near Bristol)
Our River Avon is perfect for paddleboarding. It is also the perfect river for paddleboard trips. Some of the lock portages are difficult for kayaks, but much easier for paddleboards.
The best place to start or end a river trip is bonkers HQ. With our private car park, perfect pontoon, toilets and full facilities.
In the summer, the flow is so slow as to be un-noticeable, so we do trips from our centre and returning to our centre, either up stream or down stream. These are by far the best as they are so easy safe and fun. Just talk to us and book a hire, to go and explore.
In the winter, when we have more time and the flow is generally a bit more, we do one way river trips. We can drop people up stream so you can paddle to down to the centre, or pick people up from down stream and ferry you back to our facilities in Pershore.
As a 'club', we also do many fun trips out to other parts of our beautiful river for longer river trips.
Working with British Canoeing and the Avon Navigation Trust, Bonkers are helping to improve the portages and set up a series of 'trails' along our fantastic river...
